New server version 3.13.0.2505 (52) crashes when you type using the Android system keyboard. The first letter you type works but server immediately crashes before second letter can be typed. Keyboard remote and other remotes work. Tested on EndeavourOS and Debian with same results. reported to dev
I'm having a tough time getting this to start correctly and stay working. On first launch if set to autostart in anyway, whether it be the autostart in /.config/autostart, or via systemd, it crashes on first connection. The whole thing will issue a coredump. If I start it manually via "/opt/urserver/urserver --damon" or calling the urserver-start script, it will always crash on first connection.
The only way I've got the server to start and stay running is to use systemd, but stop and start it after the system is online. If I don't stop and start it, it will crash on first connection. It also works to just select restart server on the web page. I also noticed the web interface will say it didn't detect a LAN address on first start, but after restarting it's fine.
I can't get my media server PC to boot from Unified Remote when I'm not on the home network. Released the port in OpenWRT, but it still doesn't work.
Before, when I was in the StockUI of the router, everything worked fine, so I must have misconfigured something in OüenWRT.
Could someone help me what I did wrong?
Server IP ist 192.168.0.201
Uinfied Remote Port is 9512
So what can I do? With the unified App, when the Server is started, but with the smartphone I am NOT in the WLAN, I CAN hibernate or shutdown the server, but when the PC is hibernated or shutten down, then I CAN NOT wake it up, when I am not in the WLAN.
When I am in the WLAN, so I can wake it up with the unified app.
Unified Remote is the result of a hobby project of two Swedish students, Jakob Berglund and Philip Bergqvist, which later turned into a profitable start-up venture. The app was first launched as a free app on Android in 2010, with simple features and support for 13 remote controls for Windows applications. A year later, an improved version was released, as well as a paid (premium) version including more features and remote controls. The latest version was launched in 2014, which included an overhauled user interface and introduced support for iOS, Mac, and Linux.
The application provides many remote controls for various programs. This includes basic mouse and keyboard input and support for media applications, presentation software, and even power functions. The server also provides an open API, which makes it possible for developers to create their own custom remote controls.[11]
There are several different apps on the various app stores that provide similar universal remote control functionality. Other competitors also include official apps for different media applications, which instead provide dedicated remote control functionality for specific applications.
In more recent years, software vendors have begun to target smartphones, tablets, and smart TVs directly, thus making the need for a computer remote control redundant. This is especially apparent within the home entertainment space with products such as Apple TV, AirPlay, and Chromecast.
Before learning the best Unified Remote free alternative, let's get to know better about Unified Remote. Unified Remote is a mobile app that lets you control your computer from wherever you are. In a nutshell, it turns your device into a WiFi or Bluetooth remote control for every program on your computer. A simple mouse and keyboard, media players, and other external devices that can be connected to your computer can all be controlled by this app.
Step 2. On the app's first screen, select SIGN IN WITH GOOGLE or SKIP THIS STEP to skip creating an account. Signing in with your Google account will back up your configuration and remote settings, so it's a good idea to do so.
Step 3. You will see a list of devices to which you can connect. If you've previously completed the server setup without complications, the app automatically detects the computers connected to the LAN on which the server is running.
It is an iOS, Android, and Windows remote control app. Regardless of whether the devices are connected via WiFi or the internet, it allows users to remotely control their PCs at any time from their Android or iOS devices.
Make sure your computer and smartphone/device are connected to the same network. It doesn't matter if your computer has wired internet as long as they are connected to the same box! Update to the latest version. Make sure both your app and server are updated to the latest versions.
Hi, I'm a complete LInux noob and i've just switched from windows because i'm tired of microsoft spying on me. For the most part everything has been fine apart from the fact that i cannot for the life of me make unified remote boot on startup.
I currently have the portable version of the app and it works fine if i double click on it but i don't want to do it everytime i boot my computer. I want it to be done automatically.
I tried adding it to the autostartup tab in settings but it still doesn't work.
Search for autostart in the system settings.
In case of troubles there are so many tutorials on the internet.
For a better understanding of how it works and the several ways it can be done, the best reference is always the Arch wiki.
(Including a link to KDE autostart)
I'm referencing this guide because the Arch wiki is the best way to start learning Arch and Arch-based distros, and because I guess (I don't know this application at all) you could also start the server as a systemd service.

When you enable Mobile Access on a Security Gateway Dedicated Check Point server that runs Check Point software to inspect traffic and enforce Security Policies for connected network resources., the Security Gateway is automatically added to the RemoteAccess VPN Community. Include that Community in the VPN column of the rule or use Any to make the rule apply to Mobile Access Security Gateways. If the Security Gateway was removed from the VPN Community, the VPN column must contain Any.
