Michael Pollan Speaking

[Prairie Food Co-op]

Hey co-op,

Wanted to give a heads up that Michael Pollan, famous food writer and activist, is speaking at Elmhurst College on April 28th. There are already 7 of us Prairie Berries (Prairie Dogs?, Prairie Flowers?-we need a nickname for us!) going and our planning and scheming is underway. We plan on at least wearing PFC t-shirts and handing out flyers. We hope that maybe he could mention us or we could get a picture with him (wearing a complimentary PFC t-shirt of course). Besides that, he is a compelling and insightful commentator on food issues. I promise you that you will be educated and entertained. Tickets are only $10.00 and I'm sure they'll go fast!

Yes, let's make our presence known! (And hear a great speaker, of course). Speak up if you'll be attending so we can all keep our eyes out for each other. My husband & I will be there but I've only met a handful of you so hopefully the t-shirts will give us away.
