Qsync enables efficient file synchronization between a QNAP NAS and linked devices such as computers, laptops, and mobile devices. With Qsync, you can easily access data across all your devices and share it among your team members.
Simply install the Qsync Central app to use your NAS like a private cloud storage environment (such as Dropbox, Microsoft OneDrive, or Apple iCloud Drive) for real-time file sync and sharing without compromise. Your NAS centrally stores files and distributes them across all your authorized devices. With the companion Qsync utility on your computers and Qfile Pro mobile app on your phones, your devices are linked with the NAS for file syncing and keeping shared files/data up-to-date.
In Qsync Central, you can configure management settings such as conflict policies and filter settings. Each device can have its own settings, or you can apply centralized settings to all devices. An optional password can be used to protect centralized settings. If you accidentally lose a connected device, a remote erase function is available to ensure that no one gets access to personal/organizational data.
Qsync enables file sync between QNAP NAS and other end devices. To sync NAS-based data to another NAS or to the cloud we recommend using our critically-acclaimed data backup/restore/sync app Hybrid Backup Sync (HBS). With data deduplication (QuDedup), TCP BBR support, encryption, auto port selection, and more future-proof functionality, HBS ensures that your data is safe and secure.
Space-Saving Mode allows you to save disk space on your computer, synchronize files faster, and avoid unnecessary server load by only downloading files to your device when they are accessed/opened. Space-Saving Mode is supported by Qsync Client 5.0.0 (or later) and requires Windows 10 version 1909 (or later) or macOS 10.14 (or later). Learn More
I have a problem with Resilio syncing between my Windows PC and my QNAP NAS. According to the App Center on my TS-251+, Resilio Sync 2.7.1.1370 is installed, but when I try to open it, I get an error message "Firefox can't establish a connection to server (my NAS's IP address):14860".
Next I stopped Resilio from the NAS's App overview, and started it again after a short wait. After that, I could connect to Resilio again. This time it did not stop responding after a minute. I hope it keeps working continuously now, and succeeds to finally sync a newly added subdirectory that I created recently, to my PC's harddisk.
At present, only 1 peer is on, but there could be up to 3 if my other devices are running or in the LAN. There are currently 62 folders to sync, some are small with only a few small files and sync only to one of the possible peers, others can contain subdirectory structures up to 6 levels deep, several 10,000 files and several 100 GB and sync to 2 or all of the peers, if they are online.
Dear all!
We suspect that there is an issue with async disk operations that leads to Sync crashing. The suggested way to prevent it from happening is adding "async_io" : false, line to resilio-sync.conf file, like this (please mind the syntax):

I would like to get my QNAP to download and continually sync a complete copy of everything in my Google Drive. I've read some posts that talk about a Google Drive Sync app for the QNAP but I can't find it on the list of apps.
I have a server dilema, we have a small NAS server which my colleagues save projects too. I simply want to be able to backup this particular folder (about 1 terabyte) onto the dropbox and sync as and when projects get added and updated.
Thanks for replying. Questions is how do i get dropbox to sync from my computer when the files are stored on the NAS? it wouldnt be productive for me to move work from the NAS onto my desktop everytime somones makes a change?
Although this methos isunsupported, and may not work as seemlesly as native files, I think its worth a try... You could try to use symbolic links on your local pc so windows will make Dropbox think the network folders are local folders, see this article: -dropbox-sync-any-folder-on-your-pc-using-symbolic-links/
I finally have my first unRaid server running and already replaced one older Qnap, I now want t o replace the other one I have. I have 3 Qnaps in my family spread out in 2 countries and they are currently replicating over the internet via Hybrid Backup (their tool, essentially uses rsync I think) but I now need to find out if it is possible (and how) to sync the other 3 Qnaps over the internet to my unRaid Server. Does anyone know how this can be done? I'm having a hard time figuring this out and finding useful information.
Sorry for the late reply. I ended up using Syncthing to synchronise the data. Qnap has an alternate inofficial appstore aclled Qnapclub ( ). They have instructions on their website on how to add it to your Qnap Apps app. From there you can install Syncthing.
On a QNAP, we stress on back up, which is a simple notion of putting copies of your files on your main source (such as your computer or your phone). However, we also have a great feature which is somewhat like Dropbox which allows you to sync across multiple platforms.
Hello Is there a way to setup a Folder and sufolders on Readynas 214 at my office to sync with a folder on my Qnap at my home so I can use the same files at home or office, if so how to setup, I am new to Netgear Community
While rsync works quite well as a backup between NAS from different vendors, rrsync is not good for two-way synchronization (where a change can be made on either and migrates to the other). If two-way synchronization is what you are looking for (it sounds to me like it is), Resilio Sync (formerly BitTorrent Sync) is one possibility. There are free and paid versions.
I have a laptop that runs Windows 10 Home and a desktop that runs Windows 10 Pro. I map a drive from a QNAP NAS to each system (H:) and would like to be able to automatically sync files I store on the laptop or desktop to the mapped drive.
The software should allow me to set a sync schedule that will check for changes every few minutes. I know Windows 10 has a sync capability, but it is not enabled for Windows 10 Home so I need a single solution that I can install on each Windows 10 system.
I'm a fan of FreeFileSync BUT it may have some limitations for your exact scenario. The problem you'll run into is that a NAS is a slow device compared to an internal hard drive. FFS, in order to be able to sync deletions as well, has to first compare all the designated source and destination directories. This can take some time on large directories. When I run mine, it takes almost 3 minutes just to do this comparison not including file copying. So, you might set it up for once an hour (or longer) but certainly not for every few minutes.
We use Qsync in our small office with three or four different machines. Qsync is a bit hokey, but once set up it just works in the background, and whenever the laptops are connected to the local network, the designated folders get synchronised with paired folders on the NAS.
A couple of gotchas, which are not very well described. The paired folders on the NAS are automatically created in a hidden folder ".Qsync" in the user's home folder. One gotcha is that the folders cannot be nested. For example, you can pair Documents on your laptop with .Qsync/Documents on the NAS, and Pictures with .Qsync/Pictures. But by default, the first folder pairing set up by Qsync gets paired to .Qsync - the top level folder - and then you can't pair anything else, as it would be nested inside .Qsync. You have to delete that default pairing to .Qsync and manually created each pairing to a different subfolder of .Qsync.
