Subject: James : Whom to Vote
Date: Wed, 23 Apr 2014 11:05:51 +0530

Hi,
Greetings & good wishes

One section of Citizens wants to know whom to VOTE for and another section states that I do not want to VOTE for any one.

Under section 62 ( RIGHT TO VOTE ) of Representation of People Act , 1951 , Citizen of India who are eligible have a RIGHT TO VOTE.

But then again the question comes WHOM to VOTE , for as when we see into each and every SCAM we find an head popping up of an politician.

The voter sees that this same politician is responsible for all the ILLEGAL HOARDINGS , ILLEGAL STRUCTURES , ILLEGAL RELIGIOUS STRUCTURES , ILLEGAL WATER CONNECTIONS , BAD ROADS , Water Logging etc and the list does not end there but it goes on and on and now they have graduated to LEGALLY selling our AIR WAVES , mines etc illegally.

Now does this person who is out into such illegality deserve the VOTERS vote? Let’s take one example and see how it works out.

Let us take an example that the same VOTER is going out to purchase a Kg of tomatoes and when he goes out into the market he sees each of the basket has some or other bad tomatoes. Will the same VOTER purchase any of the bad tomatoes. If I am the  VOTER I will never purchase any of the bad tomatoes. If such is the case when we select something for our food then why do we go for the LEAST BAD ones when it comes to selecting some one who will speak for us and be our representative and decide for us which road we should walk on where should we play , how much water we should get etc etc.

Do not and never VOTE for somebody who has :-

a.         put up illegal hoardings.

b.         allowed or turned a blind eye to illegal constructions.

c.         put up illegal structures.

d.         provide illegal water connections.

e.         allowed bad roads to be constructed.

f.          Never attended LACC or ALM meetings or came back to you to have regular meetings with them.

g.         Never consulted you or your group before taking any decisions that may affect

            you and your area.

h.         Has criminal background or has criminal cases to his credit.

i.          no basic Education.

Now when you look at all these points then again you come to the conclusion that none of those POLITICAL party candidates deserves your votes.

Do not worry at all that if political party candidate is not elected then there would be no government formation. These politicians know how to come together post elections to form governments & the recent Delhi Assembly Elections is the best example.

Now so who should get my VOTE then :-

Do vote for Citizens Consensus Candidate ( CCC ) who has been selected by you all and your group through a process and not that somebody who has rejected by some political party comes up and states that I am a CCC or some independent candidate who files his nomination and states that he is an CCC.

A CCC is nominated and selected by the residents and groups of the area through a process.

Now if there is no CCC in your area then what to do , in such cases please do not sit at home or go out for picnics or outing but do cast something that is very special PROTEST VOTE or NO VOTE under section 49 O of Conduct of election rules 1961.

Now that you have NOTA button go ahead and try it , this may be the best candidate as this candidate does not have any ambitions or criminal records etc and he is available in every constituency and at every polling booth. He is the best candidate and he should win hands down seeing the records of political party candidates.

Go ahead and VOTE

Now how to cast a NOTA VOTE :-

a.         Go to the polling booth like a normal voter.

b.         check for your name and other details.

c.         Ink your finger.

d.         Go to the EVM

e.         Let the presiding officer start the EVM.

f.          Do hear the beep.

g.         Have a good look at all the candidates symbols.

h.         Then press NOTA button.

When you do this exercise instead of sitting at home or cursing the politicians you are doing the following :-

a.         fulfilling your constitutional obligations.

b.         not allowing bogus voting on your name.

c.         venting out your anger like an responsible citizen.

We have been casting our PROTEST VOTE or NO VOTE from the last 10 or more years and we have been getting many civic works done through the EXECUTIVE and have been very successful in all our endeavors.

Do VOTE

If you feel the candidate is not worthy of your VOTE , do not sit at home but come out and cast your PROTEST VOTE or NO VOTE by pressing NOTA button.

Let it be a lively democratic republic
