syllabic consonants

Eliminated from fuhivla, except for the hyphen of type-3. A 'y' is also allowed in front of the hyphen, so that they are not even required there. This has the additional advantage that 'l' is never needed as hyphen.

Can someone give examples of this? {cidjyrpitsa}?

Yes, the idea was to use -yr- instead of -r- as the hyphen, so that no syllabic consonants were ever required.

This was never implemented, it would require doing some careful tinkering with the morphology. I think the change rquired would have to be to replace this:

   brivla-head <- !cmavo !slinkuhi !h &onset unstressed-syllable*

with:

   brivla-head <- !cmavo !slinkuhi !h &onset classifier? unstressed-syllable*

   classifier <- (long-rafsi / CVC-rafsi) y (r &consonant / n &r)

but someone would have to check that.
