Good morning,
My name is Angelica Loblack. I'm a doctoral candidate in the department of sociology at the University of Maryland and a Ford Predoctoral Fellow. I'm currently collecting data for my dissertation, which is an ethnographic and qualitative interview study that explores how Black/White Multiracial families approach raising Multiracial children between the ages of 10-18.
I'm reaching out in hopes that you might be willing to share my recruitment flyer and/or the
associated linktree with parents in your PTSA networks. I'm specifically recruiting
families in which one parent identifies as White and the other identifies as Black or African American, and they have at least one
multiracial child (10-18 y/o) who still resides in the household. Participating families will be compensated for their time and have the opportunity to earn approximately $850 for continued participation. Although any information shared by individual family members will be kept anonymous and confidential, they can expect to see reflections of their stories in the book I hope to write from this research.
Thank you in advance for your time and consideration!
Kindly,
Angelica Loblack
