SpeedTree is great program for creating vegetation; trees, plants, and etc. It is very intuitive and easy to navigate. SpeedTree is a node based system with a procedural and a hand drawn approach. Many studios are adopting it into their workflow.

SpeedTree Subscription Edition is a low-cost edition of SpeedTree Modeler and Runtime, targeted at independent game studios. The licensing fee is a US$19 monthly charge, as well as additional charges for tree packs.[20] Subscribers get access to the SpeedTree editor, the ability to generate 3D models of trees and plants, such plants being exclusively usable with either Unreal Engine 4[21] or Unity,[22][23] depending on the license. Subscribers can download additional tree model packs from the Model Library, and pricing varies between packs.[24][25]
SpeedTree Engine is a studio tool for VFX users that injects SpeedTree procedural capabilities directly into DCCs and Renderers.It provides a way to use animations without alembic exports for unique wind per tree. It allows for seasons, model resolutions and randomizations to be used as a property within the DCC.
The natural-looking, wind-blown foliage generated by SpeedTree will appear in a wide variety of Sierra Entertainment projects now underway, including the recently-released World in Conflict from Sierra Entertainment's Massive Entertainment studio.
