Set rendered time format

Hello John,

I pushd a few changes to allow one to specify the rendered time format. We collect log from around the world and forcing a YYYY-MM-DD format saves us the parsing of dates and translating month names we can't read. 

Did you have the time to look at it ?

Thanks for bringing it to my attention. In general you've done a nice
piece of work. I did make a few tweaks to it to correctly support the
LOGOG_UNICODE flag for Unicode builds. But I've rolled your changes
into the master branch and you should see them there. Please keep the
good patches up!
