Feature: The attribute table contains a header line describing which
attributes are being edited.
Feature: The gates in the Gates library (except Controlled Buffer and
Controlled Inverter) have a new Output Value attribute so that a gate
can output a floating value when the result is true or when the result
is false. This is useful for building a wired-or and wired-and
connections.
Bug fix: Pull resistors did not respect "printer view," which is meant
to be black and white.
Design change: Deleted the "Legacy" library for supporting versions
1.x of Logisim.
Design change: All components except Constant now use the included GIF
icons rather than Java code.
(Design change: Added a circle to Plexers components to distinguish
the select and enable inputs.)
I changed quite a bit of the code implementing attribute tables, so I
think it's particularly likely that new bugs will pop up there.
I still hope to make more changes to the overall GUI appearance. I
continue to recommend delaying any screenshots.
To Uwe: I'd say that continuing translation of the documentation
remains worthwhile. I doubt there will be many changes to the existing
documentation - but doubtless some additions and some minor revisions.
It's just the screenshots that I'd recommend you not try to redo yet.
That said, I'm happy to hear that you're planning to continue work
with the German translation.

Carl, new title for Attribute Pane is very nice and handy, good
feature! When choosing several same components, the title is (for
example) "Selection: And Gate x 2"; when choosing several different
components, the title is "Selection: Various items". May be it's worth
to add feature to count those items, something like: "Selection: 43
various items". It could be some kind of additional statistics feature
(I think it isn't hard to implement).
Picture wand-wor.png in the documentation page about Wiring Logic
should show Wired OR and Wired AND connections. According to this
article: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wired_logic_connection , those
connections have to behave like OR and AND gates correspondingly, but
devices on your picture both behave like XOR gate. I think you wanted
to show those two devices use pull-up and pull-down resister
correspondingly, but if you turn aside from OR and AND behavior, may
be it's worth to specify in the documentation "these two circuits both
implement XOR behavior"?
I've found two bugs.
1. Any change to any Gate component on the canvas (moving, changing an
attribute) turns all the values of Negate attributes of the gate to
empty string.
2. To reproduce: 1) Place any component to the canvas; 2) Duplicate it
(Ctrl+D) and move the copy somewhere; 3) Start to change any attribute
of any of two those copies by unrolling its drop-down list, but don't
change the value (click somewhere on the canvas then); 4) Now, if you
will select any other component (including the circuit by clicking on
the canvas), it will "have" the same drop-down list which you tried to
change.
Files from the directory /resources/connectina (and may be
/resources/bric too) are not the same in the SVN repository and in the
release JAR file. I have been changing them for some time, but they
are still outdated in the JAR file. Please, update them: there are
some appreciable fixes there.
Carl, I've to ask you: if you will change something (fixing bugs or
updating translation), please, release another one fragile release
before February, 21, 03:00 AM GMT. I will introduce Logisim first time
to my first students that day (I am some kind of TA now, but I deliver
lectures too), and I don't want to show them stable release (because
library order and structure are changed), but I don't want to show
them the recent fragile because of bugs I listed above (we will learn
gates so these bugs will be revealed certainly) and because of
incompleteness of the translation too. I want to make first impression
of Logisim for students as good as possible. Thank you.
Ilia.
