ALI Special General Body Meeting Announcement

The General Body Meeting (GBM) of the Association held on Tuesday,

February 4, 2025 was inconclusive in the matter of electing a new
Executive Committee. Hence the Association will have special GBM
with the exclusive agenda of electing a new Executive Committee.

Colleagues in the ALI council have requested me to conduct the
election process, of collecting nominations and convene the GBM.

On behalf of the ALI Council, I request all members to participate
in the special GBM being convened online on Saturday, April 19, 2025
at 4 PM. I request that all nominations be sent to me by email at
j...@imsc.res.in by April 14, 2025.

Nominations of Association members to the new EC may come from the
recent EC, and in addition, from any member of the Association. Those
who have been in the EC for two consecutive terms are not eligible.
Self-nominations are not allowed. All nominations should be accompanied
by a declaration that the nominee has consented to serve in the EC,
should they be elected.

If any member is being newly nominated, in the sense that they have
never been in any past EC, the nomination should be accompanied by a
brief text on the nominee's suitability for the EC.
