Hey Lucky and steve:
Frankly nowadays, i can not imagine my workflo without the LM, really it makes my tasks more easier, and am working faster than before,
THanks for your hard work.
if you don’t mind, here are some things that i found i think we need to look at:
- while moving some sliders like the track gain, the slider goes away to the highest value or lowest value, and it happened with me many times, with no reason.
- I know that Lm disable itself in any place that needs typing, but some places still need lm to stop like: bounce movi, looking inside audio units, and a bounce window which i can not recall write now.
and here are Some Recommended shortcuts for Logic magician.
Again, this does not mean that you did not do something, but from my observation, and even working in pro tools using the flotools before, i am sure that these shortcuts will make our life easier.
THanks again.
Hey Ramy
You mean track volume slider goes all the way up or down, or region gain, which one? That’s very unlikely to happen technically speaking. It should have been investigated why it happens on your end.
Note: key commands to change volume or gain, pan etc, are created so if you press and hold, they will keep changing the value whatever it is until you release the key. So if you press and hold command Up arrow key command for instance, it will keep increase volume to the max.
On LM disabling itself, it wasn’t easy thing to make, and we covered most of the windows that were on top of our mind, and in some places it wasn’t possible at all, so write me exact windows where you think it should disable itself and I’ll check them, if possible, I’ll add them to auto-disable function.
On the keys you listed, some of them are already available, either natively or with lm. Check the lm documentation, but below is what’s on top of my head just after midnight:
1 Speak and select next/previous track - up and down arrows of course, don’t even have to be in the tracks list, or you meant on something else?
2 speak and select next/previous track, shift up and down arrows, native commands again, although shift down arrow doesn’t speak, it’s known logic bug for awhile now.
3 Speak selected tracks - lm command: control option spaceBar, press once to hear number of selected tracks, press twice to hear names of selected tracks.
4 Unmute all tracks - native command called mute off for all, control shift M.
5 unsolo all tracks - native command called clear/recall solo, control option command S.
6 speak soloed or muted tracks - don’t exist as such, but there are command for selecting all soloed or all muted tracks, control option command S and M, and lm tell you the number of selected tracks. Use lm command control option spaceBar pressed twice to hear track names.
7 Disarm all record enabled tracks, native command called record off for all, control option shift command R.
On other options:
-deselect all tracks - I don’t think this is possible at all in logic. From what I know, one track must be always selected. Regardless of how many tracks you have selected, you can always break selection by pressing up or down arrow key.
-list selected and unselected tracks - Why would you need this option at all, that is, why do you consider it useful?
On other stuff you mentioned, I’ll definitely consider them for the future, and if possible to add them efficiently, I can add them of course.
Just keep in mind, logic pro isn’t pro tools, so there’s always a possibility that something can be done in one daw, and not in the other.
Cheers
