Hi,
I installed a vst au plugin and precisely Native Instrument Massive, and I would like to listen to the presets but I can't find a way to scroll through them and listen to them all, neither from within Logic nor from my akai MPK mini controller.
From within Logic in the browser instrument I search for the word "Massive" but I only find 2 or 3 sounds.
For the selection via controller, I think I have to configure it via the learning assignment function, but I can't understand how to map a control and in particular which keys to assign for scrolling the sounds within a vst.
thanks to anyone who will have the patience to answer me. :-)

thanks
sauro

Hi,
i use NI plugins too and i think it is only possible to scroll through the presets with the Native Instruments Controller keyboard within the Komplete Kontrol plugin.
In other words, i load the komplete Kontrol plugin as instrument in the track and then, i can scroll to all presets of all native instruments plugins, which i have installed with the Data wheel on the Komplete Kontrol keyboard.
You can install the free komplete kontrol plugin from ni and then are all installed ni plugins associated with the kk plugin. The kk plugin is connected with the kk keyboard.
The KK plugin is like a browser for the NI plugins and you can access all parameters of the plugins, which are scanned by KK.

It is necessary to follow the detailed installation instructions of ni for the correct connections.

It may be, that other controllers can also connect with the komplete kontrol software, it they implemented the NI conventions. NI has a dedicated protocol for their connection, which is also used by other companies. i forgot the name of this standard, but you can find informations about this on the NI website.

If you sign up for their mailing list, you get a nice set of beginning audio tutorials. There's also the Youtube memberships for even more stuff, but this should get you going nicely.
