Hi everyone.
I am writing to ask if anyone can tell me, if there is a plugin within logic called speech enhancer? I am experimenting with some vocal work before I start my next project. I've just received the script so thought I'd have a play around.
I found an article online which is like a little tutorial on recording voice overs using logic pro X.
The part I am interested in is pasted below.
On the left of the window, activate effects for your vocal track. The first one you'll be using is called Speech Enhancer. Here, you can set the denoise levels, enable microphone correction, and enhance the voice.
The denoise level will need to be set on a per recording basis. The other settings I've used should work well for most users, though you should naturally change the Malesetting to Female as appropriate.
So what I did was go in to the inspector, interact with the channel strip group, interact with the audio FX group and pop up bbutton. However, I can't seem to find the speech enhancer. Am I doing something wrong? Have I made a mistake thinking that the article writer means the inspector when he/she talks about "on the left of the window"
Many thanks,
Claire.

Hey there,
looks like that plug-in is no longer part of Logic Pro, at least sinc 10.1. Shame really, sounds like something useful. However there are still plug-ins that should do the job, the de-esser is still there and good compressors/limmiters.

Hi Joy and everyone.
I found the speech enhancer. Ok it's a bit tricky and I have no idea why it doesn't show in the list at first.
What you do is, interact with the audio FX group, when VO announces the pop up button press the option Key. This appears to do nothing and when I activated the pop up button, it was stuck on no audio FX. After a bit of a faff I managed to get the list up and there was another sub menu called legacy. The speech announcer is in there along with some other plugins which people might find useful.
Many thanks,
Claire.

Hi Joy.
Well, after writing the email, I thought I'd go and see what other plugins are in the legacy submenu. However, I can't for the life of me get it to work again! I don't know if it's because I have 2 other plugins already on the track but it's really frustrating.
Let me know if you have any luck.
Cheers,
Claire.

Claire,
Here's what I did:
Navigate to that menu in question, then hit VoiceOver plus Tab, after that hit the option-key, then open the menu. Voi la, the old plug-ins show up.
Try and let me know if it works for ya.

You might play around with 1,2 or even 3 db's up there.
