Hi all, here’s a little nifty trick I discovered recently that I’ve not heard anyone on here mention, so thought I’d share it. Perhaps you all already know. I’m not a fan of adding a send to a track, and then having it just say bus 1 2 or 3, when you press shift and a number to hear your send information in Logic Magician. Bus 1 means nothing to me, whereas the name of the plugin or type of effect is surely much more conducive. Of course I
can easily name the aux track, by control tabbing to it and pressing shift enter, but that still doesn’t help when you press the shift and number keys, as it reads out the bus number.
The way to fix it is to go to the mix menu. Press VO M and right arrow to mix. Go down to I/O labels. VO space on that. Interact with the table. Go down to your bus number. VO right arrow over to where it says long. VO space on that and type in your preferred name: reverb, delay, the name of the plugin, whatever you like. Close the table.
This has been a revelation for me, so I hope it helps someone else.
Another thing is, if you want your aux track to appear in your track list, which I personally think is a good idea, you can do that by pressing command 2 to go to the mixer.
Navigate to your aux track. And then press control T.
Oh and while I’m here, I’ve noticed that in some none stock plugins, adjusting sliders can be painfully slow as it does it in very small increments. However if you tab and shift tab back in the plugin view, that seems to make the sliders adjust by a larger increment the next time you interact. Just throwing that out there too in case that helps.
Of course if there was some way to make option W work for last touched plugin parameter, in Logic Magician, that would be quite a delight.
Then we could type in a value. Thanks.

Hi Daniel, that is a great discovery. I can’t believe that slider has been sitting there all this time, and I’ve just been ignoring it. Yes, that percentage slider does increase things in higher increments. Thanks very much for imparting that.
