Hi all.
Yep, it's me, with yet another question, the joy this brings to your day!
I've been playing around with synths, e.g. Full Bucket's Pecs, Surge XT. We've got some great keyboard access, but I'd really like to tackle some kind of different hardware, sliders preferably but I'd go with buttons and knobs too. So the two obvious questions are:
1. Any recommendations? I'm thinking of something like the Korg Nanostudio as a cheap entry point. But if there's something that really works incredibly well, I'd love to know about it, if only to have something to save up for in the future.
2. Can we map parameters, and if so, how? I assume this would be done through midi learn? While it's possible I could get lucky and have some default mappings, I assume I'd have to map most software synths myself. Obviously this will depend on hardware to an extent, e.g. if the hardware can do multiple pages I'd have to switch pages to get the next six or eight knobs or whatever, and that's based on the particular hardware I'd be using.
3. While I'm at it, am I lucky enough to have other things, e.g. audio effects plugins, say an EQ, map the same way? I'd guess it would at least be similar.
Once again, thanks in advance for any help, you folks are awesome.
