Hi,
Since I brought up the need for a way to automatically switch to US english keyboard layout when switching to Logic, due to conflicts when I use Logic Magician with my native keyboard layout, I thought I should tell you about the solution I found, in case others can benefit from this:
1. Make sure you have both languages set up in the Keyboard settings of the System preferences on your Mac.
2. Go to the App store and search for the free app Keyboard pilot, and download it.
3. It will show up as a menu option in your status menu.
4. Open that menu and select preferences.
5. Drag Logic from your applications folder in Finder (by using VoiceOvers feature for this) and drop it in the area in the preferences window of Keyboard Pilot.
6. Logic will be added to a list in the preferences, including a popup menu where you will be able to select which keyboard layout you sant to be active when Logic is active.
7. When you switch from Finder or any app to Logic, VoiceOver will announce that the keyboard layout has changed to US english. When I switch back to Finder or any other app, Voiceover will announce that my native keyboard layout now is active..
If I need to write some special letters only available in my native keyboard layout while in Logic, I can press control-space to temporary toggle between the two layouts.
Best,
John André
