Hi everybody.
I know some of you record Logic, e.g. for Youtube. You doing that with OBS or what?
Basically I want to be able to record two things. The system in general, I know I can use something like Blackhole for this assuming it works in 26 and there are also paid things, and a phone.
Specifically with the phone, if I hook it up via a cable, in Quicktime I can tell it to record, and it will record any sound the phone outputs. Can I do this in Logic too? I don't think it shows up as an audio device generally, so I'm wondering if Quicktime is doing some sort of magic. But if it is, Logic is also Apple, so maybe it will do the same thing.
Starting assumptions: I have a USB microphone, a phone connected via cable, and the Mac.
I do have an audio interface, so I could run the phone into that with an audio cable and record everything on the system with loopback and put it all on separate tracks. If that's what people are doing that's great. I just thought I'd ask about not starting there because my audio interface is big, the Audient Evo 16, so I don't always have it with me. Of course I could just get an Evo 4 or 8, depending on how much I'd need for inputs, but since I might be able to do it all for free or nearly so, I thought it would be worth asking about.
