Hi all.

I'm back with yet another question.

How do you set loop length, i.e. if you hit 'l' to loop a track? Obviously the basic is, record X bars, then loop it. But suppose I record nine bars, but I decide I want to reduce the loop length to seven? Markers? Locators? I think these are different?

Specifically, I'm thinking of following the steps in this video. I figure recording patterns and then looping them with 'l' would be the simplest thing, then do the melodic solo stuff over them.

Apologies if this starts somewhere in the middle, and thanks in advance for any help!

It starts with understanding the difference with terms like looping, repeating and cycling as it relates to Logic Pro.
