Logic Magician Gives Error On Function Keys

I’m on a Mac Mini 2018 with all the fixin’s. Logic 11.2.2 / latest. Sequoia latest.
If I press many of the function keys like f4, f5, etc. I get something like the following error:
Keyboard Maestro Engine, Macro Cancelled, Execute a JavaScript For Automation failed with script error: text-script: execution error: Error: Error: Invalid index. (-1719). Macro “ControlBarComponents” cancelled (while executing Execute JavaScript For Automation)., stacked group

I’m guessing I probably need to set something. This wasn’t urgent, I just needed to move the project end marker so I could apply the fade out on stereo out which is very common with any ambient genres including what I do for the wellness industry. The only scripting I’ve done seriously was when I was a scripter for Freedom Scientific back in the day, but it looks like this is probably something I just need to turn on someplace? Control bars, Inspector and of course the tracks view are all visible.

Please let me know if there’s anything I should check. I did reinstall LM just in case.

Most likely control bar not set to have everything visible Magician needs to see in there. If you used the Magician template to set the control bar as default, then you can just go to the control bar and right click and choose apply default.

That sure did it, thanks! I applied defaults, then saved that in my main template I use for the work I was doing. will remember that when going back and working on older projects.

If you use multiple templates, open each one save the control bar as default then save as template from the file menu. Give it the same name and allow it to overwrite the old versions. Feel free to back up the templates before doing this to be on the safe side if you want. 

This should keep you from having to save the control bar layout as default every time you start a project from a template.
