Hey.
I’ve just bought myself an iPad pro and wanted to check out if Logic pro for iPad is any good.

Anyone tried it and is it even accessible for us?

I realize you can’t have things like Logic magician on it but i still wonder if it is accessible enough to work with it or should i just forget it?

It is said to be not as good as the desktop Mac version.
Harder to use, among other things?

A while back, I asked Gemini AI about it and it said it wasn’t as robust as the Mac version.

I wouldn’t say Logic for iPad isn’t as robust or feature rich or anything like that as compared to Logic for the Mac. However, I’ will say it’s a great example of why interacting is a great machine OS feature as it allows for similar items to be grouped together or containerized in a Logical manner to make navigating the interface faster. That is probably gonna be seen as a controversial statement since I have noticed a lot struggle with interacting with Mac OS and VOiceOver and don’t understand it’s use or purpose, but it really does speed up navigation a bit once it’s understood.
Imagine if you had to swipe through the entire library in Logic on the Mac before you could get to the tracks group let alone the tracks header. That was a bit of the experience of using the iPad version when I last tried it. On the Mac however, because the library is in its own container you can navigate past it and the inspector to go directly to the tracks group. This is an example of why I say it’s not that the Logic iPad version is not robust or lacking in features, but just not efficient to use compared to the Mac version and it’s wealth of key commands. Throw in a tool like Logic Magician and the efficiency of the Mac version increases exponentially. At the very least you will most likely want to use the iPad with a keyboard and have the ability to extensibly customize the key commands to make it comparable.
I imagine at some point in the future the Logic Mac and iPad versions will be one in the same, they will each gain the features that one has that the other doesn’t and work extremely similar despite which screen or device you are using it on. At that point the Apple creator studio subscription that includes access to both versions will probably also make more sense as well. Until then, the Mac version still has a clear advantage to me.
Given that trackpad commander on Mac OS has long had a gesture for interacting and stop interacting, I am surprised the feature still have not made it to iOS outside of the rudimentary grouping option in iOS VoiceOver
