Hi again, does anyone know how, if possible, to set a new bar at my playhead position. I’ve got a bit of a project where it deliberately goes off grid, because it’s a drone thing, and then the beat kicks back in, but due to the length of the drone the beat doesn’t start on the first beat of the bar. At this point in reaper I’d simply insert a new time signature / tempo change, and tell it to set the downbeat of a new bar at my playhead position. I’ve tried faffing about in the tempo editor and the smart tempo editor, and managed to get my beats back aligned, but then realised that it had inserted silence in order to line my bars up properly. Obviously I could fix this at the end of my production, by rendering the file and then joining up the gaps, but ideally I’d be able to force my grid to reset at my current playhead position? I tried inserting a new time signature with option shift K, but alas that window was weirdly inaccessible. There’s a bit where you can select your position, and every time I moved the slider by one, it would take me out of the slider after making the change, and I had to go back and interact. So that would have taken an age to have achieved, and it didn’t seem like I could type anything anywhere.
Anyway, apart from this, I’m starting to get the hang of Logic. If this question proves to niche for here, I’ll try posting it to a general Logic forum. It might be a good idea to do that from time-to-time anyway, on the off chance that it helps remind people that blind people are using Logic and somehow amplifies our voice. Thanks.
