Using different devices per track?

Hi all.

So I hooked up my iPhone with a cable to try and see what Logic would record. I also have a USB microphone hooked up, so I created a new audio project with two tracks. I wanted to see if I could record the iPhone on one and the USB microphone on the other.

I enabled Logic Magician and hit 'i' twice on each track. For inputs, I just get "input 1" or 2. Can you use a different audio device on each track? I did try recording but I got silence even though the phone was speaking, so I have to go back in and see what Logic thinks it was using, IIRC it uses the USB microphone by default.

Maybe I need to create an aggregate device to do this?

Yes, in aggregate device will get all of those inputs into one device which you can use in logic.
