Startup Looking for a Motivated Individual

I have an old acquaintance that approached me asking if I know any
good programmers that are interested in joining a startup.
This is what he asked me to pass along:
"It is a website opportunity that will drive tremendous amounts of
traffic, looking to take business from the likes of Groupon, Living
Social, etc...new twist on the same old thing and everyone is buying.
I want someone good and ambitious, not anyone who has made it
already...looking for that next big thing."

Disclaimer: I knew this guy like 10 years ago. He was a good kid then
but I don't know anything about the current venture or what he's doing
