I'd like to get more involved with this group.  I attended one of the first meetings ages ago.

I heard references to a calendar for this group.  Could someone post a link to it so I could add it to my gmail calendar?  I searched the messages for this group and couldn't find it.

If wanted, I could do a little presentation on the Tomato firmware for routers and the miniupnp library.  I'm sure you'd enjoy it if you are not familiar with this stuff already.  I'd bring along a router to show it hands on.

In regard to my presentation I don't really know much, so feel free to pipe in whatever information- but don't be rude.  We're all here to learn.

I would be interested in learning about the Tomato firmware.

Hi Andrew,

We've held off on meetings the last few months, but would love to have you present at the next one.  We've been holding them on the 3rd Thursday of each month so our next one will be Oct 22.  We'll plan on having you take the time.  Scott would you mind making sure the room is reserved?

Thanks,
Justin

Sweet.  Sounds great.

I could also go over wxWidgets or even Bazaar SCM (Source Code Management) if desired, or do those another time.

The wxWidgets presentation would be kinda shallow.  I don't know much about how it is structured internally.  I'd just show how to use it in terms of RAD (Rapid Application Development).  I'd show everyone how to start a project using C++, with either the codeblocks IDE and/or wxDev-Cpp IDE.  It is a pretty cool cross-platform GUI library.  You can use it from a variety of other IDEs and other popular programming languages- not just C++.

I think we're pretty open to everything.  I'll let everyone chime in and indicate what they are interested in.  I'd love to see the router presentation.

The router stuff would be good to see, but the wxWidgets looks pretty powerful too. Hmmm. Maybe we could do one in October and the other another month.

Our next Logan Developers meeting will be Thursday night at 6pm in the
library on the USU campus. Andrew Smart has offered to talk about
Tomato firmware for routes. If by some chance he can't make it I can
talk about integrating your website with payment gateways which is a
handy thing to know how to do if you want to make money.

I'll be there.  The presentation will likely be about 30 minutes.

I had wanted to make this tonight but won't be able to.  Any chance these get recorded and posted online?  Thanks,

I don't think we really have a way to record them. If anyone has the
stuff and wants to volunteer I'm game.

I'll post the electronic presentation files online soon:

I suppose everything I do on my laptop's screen could be recorded somehow.  I don't know how to set that up at the moment.
