Hi there,

How can I modify log4tail that instead of showing me the ALERT
messages with a red background and white font to show them to me with
red fonts?

Thanks,
Bogdan

Hi,
well, the red background is used to emphasize patterns in the log
(regexes) while colors are to identify levels. If you use regexes,
then this is at this very moment the only available background,
foreground color setup. I guess you're executing log4tail with -t
regex (or in config using targets) and then you get the line
emphasized in red background.
One way, would be setting up the level you are interested to use red
in a config (error = red), but then if you provide a pattern it will
use default font color (in your case white) emphasized in background
red.

This could be a feature for a next release, enabling the user to setup
their preferred background-foreground combinations when using regexes
to identify log lines.

Hello,

Thanks for your prompt answer. It would be nice to add such features.
Like defining in the config file a color scheme for different system
logs. To have all the colors available and then configure something
like

regex1= bg;red, font color: white and keyword firewall, or kernel or
whatever.

you got what I mean, you will find a better way to customize this I am
sure.

Thanks again for your answer and keep on developing this project. It
is really great.

Cheers,
Bogdan
