Dear Log Moocs,

Let’s be honest: we’ve all crammed for a test at the last minute, waited to start that presentation right before the big meeting, or put off a project. We are all busy, especially at the end of the year. It is hard to keep track of everything on our to-do list, and procrastination is human nature. But by slowing down, engaging in, and repeating an activity, we can retrain our minds and regain our focus. We want to share how you can enhance your learning experience with courses and series that help keep you grounded and focused.

Connecting to Mind, Body, and Community

When we’re trying to learn quickly, it’s easy to disconnect from ourselves and our surroundings, breaking the flow in more meaningful study time. It’s easy to go from engaging with a course to checking your phone, opening a different tab to browse the internet, and abandoning the lesson. Distractions are everywhere. Mindfulness can be a tool to help us clear our minds and focus on the lessons we care about in the moment. Mindfulness, Dignity, and the Art of Human Connection gives you the tools, like meditation, to calm your mind and cultivate a deeper connection to yourself and others.

Harness the power of mindfulness to boost your learning.

Setting Purposeful Learning Intentions

In recent years, educators have focused on a model of learning that encourages students to lean into purposeful, actionable learning that ties directly into their own lives. But knowing that purpose can be half the battle. With Finding Purpose and Meaning In Life: Living for What Matters Most, you can define the values and experiences that tie to your real, lived experience. By doing so, you can start to make more meaningful selections about which types of courses will help you reach your life’s goals.

Make more purposeful choices in your learning.

Resting is Essential to Quality Learning

According to National Institutes of Health research, getting a full night’s sleep is essential to strengthening memory and building mental connections when retaining new information. From Sleep Disorders to Sleep Health can help you build healthier sleep habits, understand how sleep can change as you age, and how factors like health conditions can impact your sleep. Learn from neurology and sleep medicine experts to ensure you get quality sleep and learn to your fullest potential.

Uncover the secrets to good sleep.
