Dear Log Moocs,

Thank you for taking a CalArts course on Coursera and joining our global community of creative lifelong learners.

If you are interested in taking a deeper dive into our courses with an instructor led experience, we offer several classes at calarts.edu/extended-studies.

Currently enrolling now:

The sequencing of images gives films their cinematic form. Editing is essential to establish the rhythm, pacing, and experience of a film for the viewer. In this course, you will be introduced to different approaches to editing that include montage theory, continuity editing, and slow cinema.

Imagemaking is a fluid and exciting area of graphic design that comes out of practice and process: experimenting fearlessly, showing and sharing ideas, and giving and receiving knowledgeable and constructive input.

Explore how the moving image is constructed in the production and post-production process. Topics include composition, framing, camera movement, lens and optics, depth of field, lighting, image editing and visual effects.

If you have any questions, please contact us at extende...@calarts.edu.
