In the last days instead it turns off both when using it (sometimes I do have a few apps open in the background, but for a phone with this much RAM it should be normal) and when I lock the phone, after a few seconds. The phone just turns off and when I try to turn it on it takes a couple of attempts, and sometimes only with the cable attached, even with 90 % battery.

On my MI5, if I touch the fingerprint reader on the home button, the screen turns off. Then for 5-10 seconds nothing happens, and afterwards I can click the ON button, which shows the lock screen once again.

I have a brand new Redmi Note 4G but have a weird issue where the Spotify app pauses after 3-5 seconds once the screen goes to sleep, it works fine when the phone is unlocked. Once paused it'll take a few seconds then it'll play again but only for 3-5 seconds!

Do you have any task, cache or battery cleaining apps installed? These are known to terminate the process early or when the screen is turned off. Also check your Android settings to make sure it's not set to turn data off when screen is off

I actually have the v3 version on my Xperia X and every time that I play music via Bluetooth speaker, It stops when I play 2 to 3 songs. I think it pauses in the middle of the song or the music player stops the music. I am using an Oontz speaker and notice that this is happening. Is there a fix to this?

But this Tapo app stops sending notifications after 5 minutes of turning off the screen. If I want constant notifications then I have to keep the screen on continuously.

I have tried it on 5 different android phones of different brands. I have confirmed that the problem isn't because of the android's "DOZE" feature. I have tried all the methods available in an android device, even ADB push and developer options. I haven't seen a single android app which is as buggy as the TAPO app, every other app on play store can send notifications, aggressive OS like MIUI (Xiaomi phones) need few extra options to tweaked but then they work as intended. Then there's MI FIT app which keeps running in the background for years after closing the app from the recents app tray, it will only stop when force stopped from the app settings.

It's not like the TAPO app gets killed in the background, it runs in the background and records the notification at the exact time. It just doesn't PUSH the notification after around 5 minutes of turning off the screen.

Anybody else facing this issue? I can't seem to find any solution and app developers don't care about the users, I have been complaining to them for a month now.

When playing audio, for example a YouTube video, leaving the app and opening another app such as messages, Gmail, Twitter, etc or when turning off the display the background playback stutters and more often than not stops completely.

My Xiomi Redmi A2 mobile which i had purchased new three months ago in India, worked all fine, when last week i was on a call and kept the mobile in my pocket and dint check the phone for an hour. When i last checked it, the mobile was turning off and it had factory to reset option displaying, as i had not done anything , I turned off my mobile and tried to turn it on without clicking on OK to factory reset (Just wanted to save my data), after which the phone is just stuck in the android one screen. Doesnt turns on from there.

After following these steps, the Wikiloc app should locate you accurately on the map while the screen is on. Once we have checked that it is working properly, in order to solve the problem with straight lines, we should disable the battery-saving mode for the Wikiloc app, which is often a default setting on most devices, in order to avoid slowing down the app when it is in the background (either while the screen is off or while another app is open). To do so, try following these steps:

Mi phones are known for not having the most stable software out there, which can cause problems, like getting stuck on the booting screen. Even when it is just a software bug, the problem can be very frustrating.

KSK 1.86.0.6) on kid's device. KSK icon in the edge of the screen is overlaid on the device screen (showing always, overlaying everything, all apps). The icon is shown in screenshot attached (marked in red - bottom left). I tried to find app settings to disable the icon but did not succeed. Nothing happens when I tap the icon.

this is on Realme 8i, running latest OS for that device - Android 12.0 with RealmeUI 3.0. If i tap and hold the icon I can move the icon around the screen but when I release it, it will again stick to the nearest screen edge. There is no icon management menu opening after any action as this does not seem to be ordinary launcher app icon but rather some feature of KSK much like the Facebook Messenger discussion icons that one can use (these are permanent overlay too).

As for KSK, there's only one Accessibility permission as shown in my third screenshot. The main permission merged into one with the shortcut permission, so when I turned off the shortcut permission, it will also disabled KSK main Accessibility permission, unlike Kaspersky AV.

We agree we both your son & your - in our opinion - the *floating shortcut* has to be one of the dumbest things Kaspersky has ever implemented - when it was first release it drove us & our kids to despair - we've since got rid of it - we only have a miniscule KSK icon in the bottom right of the screen - it interferes with nothing, it's not intrusive at all - see image at the end of our reply

The main source of potential problems with background work on Asus devices is associated with the optimization app called Power Master. It is pre-installed and has pretty aggressive default settings, e.g. to block apps from starting and to kill background tasks when your screen turns off. To make sure apps background processing works, set up the following:

There needs to be a way to turn off screen rotation in app. Despite having it locked on my device, the app will automatically rotate everything when the screen is slightly tilted. I used to enjoy working on my notes while lying down but now I can't do that and honestly it makes the app a pain to use. Ever since the update that made this app like the web browser, it's really gone down in quality in my opinion. It's so much harder to use.

I experience this once in a while as well when handling the device in tilted orientation while screen is locked to portrait. It does not happen often. My solution when it occurs: I close EN, hold the device in portrait orientation, open up Evernote. It opens correctly in portrait. After that I can tilt the device without unwanted screen rotations. It is a little nasty bug.

Just to be clear, in my Android phone there is a button in the navigation bar at top that turns auto-rotate (as opposed to locked portrait orientation) on and off. With this button turned OFF, Evernote on unpredictable occasions improperly rotates into landscape orientation when the phone is turned sideways or laid down. A restart of the phone fixes it ... for awhile, the length of the "while" being unknowable.

Update: I feel so stupid. I found out the issue by following the native debugging guide. Ran the app on xcode and turns out it was related to a reference of manifest2 object from expo-constants. The object is only available once EAS update is launched for the first time. So my app was stuck in splash screen until i pushed at least one update. However Manifest2 is not null in expo app running on the simulator.

How do I stop Firefox mobile from refreshing every time I leave the app and come back? This wouldn't be such a big issue expect for the fact that I use bitwarden as my password manager. So every time I want to enter my password bitwarden leaves Firefox so I can unlock my vault. Then when I re-enter Firefox Bitwarden is unable to fill in the username and password cause the page is refreshing. Sometimes it even takes me out of the password page because the login screen for the site is a pop-up. Not a separate window.

When the screen is off, about one tenth of the incoming calls receive the busy signal. Often, the moment when the calling party receives the busy signal, the phone starts ringing but cannot be picked up.

There is a setting on samsung phones to turn off the wifi when the screen is off in Wifi -> Advanced Settings.

Also I would ping the phone form a pc / laptop and see if it keeps responding while the screen is off.

At the moment I use Grandstream wave as 2nd VoIP-client, which works fine, but has big addressbook issues. So GS wave is only used to wake up my device on incoming calls and when the screen goes on Zoiper also starts to ring - at least most of the time.

Now Spotify users still don't get an appropriate answer to the issue that internal testers clearly overlooked. Ideally, when you are listening to songs on the locked screen, you should be able to see a lock screen widget with a few details, but Spotify does not.

No matter whether you are using an iPhone or Android phone, you can try the above methods to solve Spotify stops playing when the screen is locked. However, if you find the Spotify app on your Samsumg mobile stops playing when the device screen sleeps or locks, you can also try the below steps.

To make Spotify function properly, it's important that the app has permission to run in the background. If you don't enable the permission of Spotify, you won't be able to listen to Spotify when your lock screen is closed. Now go to allow Spotify to run in the background.
