EOI – Speech Pathology Clinical Educator
Hello!
Curtin University is looking for a suitably experienced clinical educator to join our large CE team for term 4 this year.
We are seeking an experienced speech pathologist to supervise first clinical year students on placement at the Bentley Adult Speech Pathology Clinic in Perth.
This is a sessional (casual) position, paid at a competitive hourly rate.
The role is for Block 4 (term 4 - w/b 13th Oct - w/b 1st Dec + additional ad-hoc time for onboarding/induction) and includes 7.5 hours of direct supervision on a Thursday in the clinic, plus an additional 6 hours/week (flexible, WFH) for administration, feedback to students and completion of clinical evaluations (COMPASS).
The placement model and handover are well established, and awaiting an enthusiastic clinician to join the team!
Ideally you will:
- have experience supervising students or new graduates in your clinical role, however we are happy to provide upskilling and mentoring if you are new to this space.
- have experience working with older adults, particularly with adults with acquired communication disorders
- demonstrate an interest in student learning and wellbeing and willingness to coach clinical skills and reasoning by modelling and through informal tutorials.
To express your interest in either position, please send a brief response to the above and your CV to Laura....@curtin.edu.au.
Feel free to reach out with any questions!
EOIs closes 5pm Wednesday 10th September.
