Paediatric Speech Pathology Position

 


There is an opportunity to join our friendly team at Straight Talk Speech Pathology!  

 

This will be in our Gosnells clinic, although future flexibility can possibly include working from our Bibra Lake clinic.

 

At Straight Talk we are all about helping children (and their families) with speaking, listening, reading, writing and feeding.

 

Position Information

Flexible position/s available for part time/full time employment. Also open to Sub-contracting arrangements. We are mostly clinic based, but do travel to some schools/childcare centres.

 

Experience working as a paediatric Speech Pathologist is preferred, however new graduates are also encouraged to apply.

Essential Skills

       Bachelor/Masters degree in Speech Pathology or equivalent

       Membership (Certified Practicing) Speech Pathology Australia.

       Ability to engage with children and their families.

       Assessment and therapy skills for language and speech sounds.

       Own transport

       Ability to manage time well and be organised.

       Excellent interpersonal skills within a team, with clients, referrers and others you will be in contact with, including strong verbal and written communication.

       Willingness to continue learning!

 

Desirable Skills

       Experience with paediatric feeding and mealtime population

       Experience with literacy assessment and therapy

       Experience with assessment and therapy for early communication development
