The MSWA Speech Pathology Department are looking for a Speech Pathologist or Senior Speech Pathologist to join our wonderful team. Please see the details below.

12-month MAT leave contract.

3 days per week.

Located at the MSWA Bunbury Hub servicing our south-west adult clients.
In this role, you will:
- Conduct comprehensive individual assessments and deliver evidence-based intervention for adults with a neurological condition presenting with communication difficulties, including aphasia, dysarthria, and
dysphonia.
- Provide assessment, prescription, and ongoing support for a range of communication technologies, from low-tech communication boards to high-tech augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) systems,
including Eye Gaze devices, tablets, and communication software/apps.
- Complete swallowing assessments and manage dysphagia, including recommending appropriate texture-modified diets and fluids in collaboration with the Dietetics team to implement safe and supportive mealtime
strategies.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of assessments, therapy intervention plans, and client progress.
- Deliver communication and dysphagia education and training to clients, families, and caregivers.
Essential Requirements:
- Certified Practising Membership with Speech Pathology Australia.
- Experience working effectively within a multidisciplinary team and collaborating with clients and their families.
- Experience in the assessment and intervention of adults with neurological conditions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise caseload demands and respond flexibly to changing client needs.
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check and completion of the NDIS Worker Orientation Module.
- Current CPR and First Aid certification.
- Current ‘C’ Class driver’s licence.
Desirable Skills and Experience:
- Understanding of the broader health care and quality-of-life challenges experienced by individuals living with chronic conditions.
- Experience working in community-based speech pathology services.
- Demonstrated ability to develop clinical resources and contribute to service development.
- Experience delivering therapy services within the NDIS framework.
