Besides that the story telling is so bad I had to laugh a couple of times. I've seen the series a few times, but even I had some moments where i thought "wtf is going on". They skip many iconic parts of the story and characters are just somehow, somewhere without reason or follow up. For example in the beginning when Goku first died and went to King Kai to learn spirit bomb. In the meantime his son and friends are fighting Vegeta and Nappa and are losing bad. Goku needs to go back asap and King Kai says to put his hand on his back and speak to Bulma to resurrect him immediately with the dragon balls. Camera goes to Bulma and Roshi who are in front of the Dragon. There is no voice from Goku or anything, you hear nothing just see Bulma, Roshi and the dragon and screen goes back to Goku and his halo disappears. How did Bulma and Roshi get the dragon balls? When did they summon the dragon? They are just there all of a sudden. Especially for people without seeing the series, I can imagine this is a "wtf moment". There are many more of these moments in the game which really throws you off.
Budokai Tenkaichi 2 was THE Dragonball game for me. It had EVERYTHING I could want and more as a child. Easily one of the best games of all time too, in my opinion. So for me, this was an insane announcement. And I just hope they bring everything that was in the games back and just add more to it. More characters, stages, modes, and whatever else they can throw in there. If they can manage not to cut anything out and just have the visuals be good, then the games will honestly be absolutely perfect.
