The Coalition's spokesman on regional development, local government and water says he shares the concerns of others about foreign mining companies buying up prime farmland.

Nationals Senator Barnaby Joyce has joined others such as Greens Leader Bob Brown and independents Tony Windsor and Nick Xenophon who have all spoken out in the past few days calling for a review of foreign investment rules, citing concerns about food security.
