to Locify
Hi
I've been using Locify for geocaching for a month or so and I'd like
to say thanks to everyone who has contributed to this project.
However.... (there's always a but/however)
A while ago I started getting errors when trying to save cache data
locally with "Nearest Caches". From reading these forums I believe
that is because of format changes on Geocaching.com. Unfortunately,
it appears from Ufaaks post on 4th June, that he/she no longer has the
time to support "Nearest Caches". So, I gave "Search Caches" a try
and it seemed to save caches OK, but yesterday I noticed a problem.
Using "Search Caches" I could bring up a list of nearest caches, shown
with the correct distance and direction to cache. But when I save the
cache details locally, Longitudes West of Greenwich are stored as East
of Greenwich. Strangely, when I tried to navigate directly from the
list of nearest caches (which shows the correct distances) it seems to
also interpret the Westing as an Easting and so direct me 160 miles
away!
Would be good if someone could have a look at this. I don't know
XHMTL otherwise I'd have a go myself.
Thanks.
