[locify group] Menu items inactive in Locify under WM 6.1

I was using 1.5.7 for some time on my HTC Touch Diamond2 with WM 6.1
and Esmertec Jbed 20080912.5.1. without any problems.
Recently I have updated to 1.5.13 and now I have to deal with a
serious bug, which makes Locify usability very problematic. The
problem is that the pop-up menus that appear after touching the button
located at bottom left, do not perform any action when items of these
menus are selected. For example, the first screen that appears after
launching Locify shows "Options" and "Exit" on the bottom line left
and right, respectively. Touching "Options" shows a menu with "Select,
Service>, Add>", but touching "Service" or "Add' just closes the menu
and the corresponding action is not done. This wrong behavior is for
all the menus activated by the left bottom button, which limits the
Locify usability.
I have tried different Jbed's: 20090217.5.1R2 and the most recent
20090506.2.1. I have tried installation to main memory or SD card.
Nothing works.
Has anybody encountered a similar problem?
Locify is a great software and I would like to use it for geochacing
in the future but this is a serious bug.
