Recently I have received 3 requests from people to join LOCCNA, all of whom have immediately posted messages about getting duct cleaning done. I did a search for "ductwork scam", some interesting results appeared. For that reason, I'm keeping any new LOCCNA group members in "moderated" status so if we get more potential ductwork scammers joining, they cannot post messages without approval by the moderator (me). And rest assured I won't be approving them.
Apologies for the recent flurry of ductwork messages and I hope that none of you have been scammed!

FYI, keeping any new LOCCNA group members in "moderated" status has worked, as evidenced by the fact that we've had 14 new members since July 29 who have almost all tried to post messages recruiting customers for discounted ductwork. Except for the first 3, I've seen those messages as pending awaiting approval and promptly rejected them. I'm hoping those new members leave the group after realizing the group does not appreciate being invaded in this way. That's if they're real people and not just a robot generating new members in many google groups. In that case they don't care and I may have to eventually remove them from the group. I was going to say "with prejudice" but if they're fakes generated by a robot, they don't give a damn.
