Hello Diane,

I wanted to share an update on the Marin Avenue Corridor Safety Project.

The planned safety enhancements are now in place, and Public Works has finalized landscaping improvements at the corner approaches to improve visibility and help prevent vegetation from blocking sight lines.

As part of a post-implementation review, Public Works also evaluated the stop-control configuration on Marin Avenue at Shattuck, Oxford, Santa Barbara, and Hilldale. Based on field observation and current engineering standards, the City plans to convert these intersections from three way stops to all-way stops.

Because these intersections have operated under the current configuration for many years, the City will provide neighborhood notification before changes are made. I will continue to share updates as more information becomes available.

I want to thank Public Works staff for their time, attention, and dedication to improving safety on Marin.
