Community: Celebrate 4th of July Safely

Dear Diane Tokugawa,

Berkeley PD would like to remind everyone to celebrate the 4th of July Safely!

Remember, ALL FIREWORKS are illegal, that includes the ones labeled “safe and sane”. If you see illegal fireworks being discharged, do not call 911, report them to the non-emergency dispatch line at (510) 981-5900. Berkeley PD will have additional officers on patrol circulating throughout the City for fireworks related safety concerns, fireworks education and fireworks prevention.

A reminder that Shorebird Park at the Berkeley Marina is closed from 10 pm to 6 am daily.

Some areas in the City of Berkeley will have road closures for the 4th of July. See the City of Berkeley press release that was sent out for further information on road closures.

Safely celebrate July 4th—Avoid fireworks and certain hillside roads | City of Berkeley (berkeleyca.gov)
