Programs and Events Get ready for some of our most beloved programs of the year as we open our December workshops for registration below! Many programs coincide with our Holiday Pop-Up Shop, not-to-be-missed, in the Julia Morgan Hall. We hope you will enjoy the Garden with friends and family during all of the upcoming holidays, including Thanksgiving week. The Garden will be open an extra day on Tuesday, November 25 before the holiday closure, and will reopen Friday for you to walk-off those feasts amongst the beauty of autumn. With so much positive feedback, we are pleased to say it will return in 2026! Register FULL: Winter Bird Walk Wednesday, Dec. 3, 9:00–10:30 am $20/$25 Members Chris Carmichael and Susan Greef lead this seasonal walk in search of both resident and migrant birds in the Garden. This program is full; stay tuned for more bird programs coming soon! Join our waitlist Winter Conifer Trees At the Garden or Online  Saturday, Dec. 6, 10:30–11:30 am $5-$20 Celebrate the trees of the season! Join us for a Saturday morning presentation—either at the Garden or online— and explore the Garden’s remarkable collection of conifers from around the world. Decorative evergreen bundles included with in-person program! Register Botanical Wreath-Making Workshop Wednesday, Dec. 10, two sessions 12:00 pm and 5:15 pm $125/$120 Members Have fun creating a gorgeous wreath with unique greens and botanical adornments from the Garden's collection! Register 12:00pm Register 5:15pm At-Home Wreath-making Kit Pick-up at the Garden Friday, Dec. 12 Pick-up window 10:00 am–4:00 pm Make a one-of-a-kind UCBG holiday wreath at home! Kit includes all the materials you need to make a wreath (wreath form, wire, plant material and adornments), plus a paper how-to tutorial of the process. Home garden clippers recommended. Register Botanical Holiday Gift Wrap and Card Workshop Saturday, Dec. 13, 10:00–12:00 pm $75 Adult/$70 Members  Add a hand-made element to your gift-giving. Create beautiful hand-printed giftwrap, cards, and mini-decor using botanicals from the Garden's incredible collection at this festive workshop for adults. Register FAMILY PROGRAM:  Holiday Crafts from Nature Sun, Dec. 14, two drop-in sessions 10:00 am-12:00 pm OR 1:30-3:30 pm $24 Adult or Child/$22 Members A family-favorite! We'll craft nature-filled globes, mini wreaths, botanical cards, and more with lots of holiday cheer!
