Plan ahead: consider walking, biking, or taking public transit to avoid $225 parking fines or towing fees. Home game days in 2025 are September 6, 13; October 4, 17; and November 1, 29.

Fans and visitors coming near Memorial Stadium on Cal football game days can avoid hassle and traffic by using public transit, walking, biking, and avoiding parking in areas with towing and high fines.
Please remember that a small number of blocks in the area will be off-limits to nearby residents.
BART trains, AC Transit buses, and free UC Berkeley gameday shuttles provide fast access to or near Memorial Stadium. Ride your own bicycle or scooter – or use a shared one – on Bancroft Way’s protected two-way bicycle lane. Walk through the vibrant Southside neighborhood to the stadium.
Game day parking restrictions near California Memorial Stadium begin at 8:00 a.m. and last until 11:00 p.m. Cars parked in no-parking zones or areas requiring a residential permit will be fined $225. A $264 fine will be added if the car is towed.

Transit options for Cal game days
BART and AC Transit operate near California Memorial Stadium on gamedays. Downtown Berkeley BART Station is approximately a 25-minute walk to the stadium. AC Transit lines 6, 22, 27, 36, 51B, 52, and F offer stops near the stadium.
UC Berkeley offers free gameday shuttles connecting Downtown Berkeley BART Station to drop-off points near the stadium and ADA golf carts for attendees with mobility issues.
Docked bike-share stations and rental e-scooters are available throughout the Southside and Downtown areas. Rent a bicycle or e-scooter and use our protected bicycle lanes on Bancroft Way, Dana St., and Fulton St. to get around.
Park carefully and look for signage
For drivers, street parking signs will reflect gameday parking restrictions in the area. Drivers should pay particular attention and follow instructions on the street parking signs.
View the 2025 Cal Football Game Day Parking Enforcement map below to see where unpermitted vehicles will be subject to fines or towing. Drivers who park on streets marked red and yellow on the map risk getting their car towed. Towed vehicles will be taken to a temporary lot at Fulton Street and Bancroft Way.

-
Telegraph Channing Garage at Telegraph Ave. and Channing Way
- Oxford Garage at Oxford St. and Kittredge St.
-
Center Street Garage at Center St. and Shattuck Ave.

 Come down to the Marina on one of two Saturdays over the next month for a City staff-led boat tour. Then spend the day exploring the land, views, food, and adventures of our waterfront.
The free boat tours – which are on August 16 and September 13 – will explore the Bay Area’s largest marina. The docks offer many ways to get on the water, even if you don’t have a boat.
Sailing clubs offer low-cost and free ways to learn to sail. If you wish, charter boats will take you across the seas. Fishing boats take out weekend anglers in early September for salmon season. You can even just borrow a life-jacket from our marina office to walk down the K Dock and watch the fishing boats come and go.
And once you’ve explored the marina, the waterfront offers a world apart:
- a maker space for kids to saw, hammer, paint and build;
- restaurants to dine in;
- a park to explore;
- a nature center for learning;
- and one of the most unique and expansive views of the Bay and its surrounding terrain.
Come for the free boat tour. Make it a staycation.

 Join us in Berkeley parks on seven Saturday afternoons this summer for live music concerts that cater to a variety of ages and tastes.
We've spread the concerts across many Berkeley parks, from Shorebird Park on the waterfront to South Berkeley and up into the hills. At least one will be close to you. (You can still come to all). Some of our concerts will include food trucks. All will have live music performed amidst our community.
