Please see Theresa Nartea’s note below and help spread the word.
Dear Friend of Agriculture and Local Foods,
Eating healthy and increasing small farm income is a good feeling that improves our lives and economy. We wanted to share with you the NEW $10 a week challenge sponsored by the Virginia Food System Council, an educational outreach partner of Virginia State University School of Agriculture.
We ask you to consider going to this website http://virginiafood.org/10-a-week/ and making a pledge to buy just $10 a week of local farm products by shopping at your local farmers markets, farm stands, community supported agriculture farm, or purchasing local food products at your favorite grocery store.
We need your help to spread the word. Would you take a moment to share this exciting initiative by distributing this email to your friends and family? Let’s get this fun and easy challenge off to a great start! Together we can build our local economy by supporting Virginia farmers!
