Dear Shenandoah Valley Food and Farm Network,
Hope you are doing well. It was good to have Erin Yancey of the Central Shenandoah Valley Planning Commission attend today’s meeting and hear more about the Fields of Gold initiative as well as Bike the Valley.
The next meeting of the SV Food and Farm Network is scheduled for Friday, August 17, 2012 at 9:30 a.m. The Staunton Creative Community Fund has agreed to host the meeting so we will be gathering at 10 Byers Street in Staunton. We will send more directions closer to the meeting date.
I have attached some preliminary notes from today’s meeting. Francie and I will also try to post the complete notes on the SV Buy Fresh Buy Local website (www.buylocalshenvalley.org) for further reference.
Note: There are still a few seats remaining for the July 31 – August 1 trip to ACEnet and Snowville Creamery. Another business we hope to visit on the trip is Shagbark Seed and Mill, which is co-located with ACEnet.
Again, thank you for your participation and effort to strengthen the community and regional food economy.
Best regards,
Eric
