Hi,
I am bringing up localtunnel in my windows OS as we donot use linux for development. I am running into issues with authentication of local tunnel with following message.
C:\>localtunnel -k id_rsa.pub.pub 8080
Failed to authenticate. If this is your first tunnel, you need to
upload a public key using the -k option. Try this:

   localtunnel -k ~/path/to/key 8080

I generated ssh-key using ssh-keygen tool given in msysGit-fullinstall-1.8.1.2.
tried both options of rsa and dsa key generations. without giving any phrase while generating keys.

all of the keys still fail to authenticate.
Appreciate help on this.

It does require a full path to the key, so maybe sure that path is correct. I don't have a lot of experience with localtunnel running on Windows. But you could also try the v2 beta: https://github.com/progrium/localtunnel

At the following link I have successfully generated a good id_rsa.pub file for localtunnel and localtunnel is running for me now.
localtunnel will ask for the passphrase when you have a properly formatted pub file.

Download openssh for the ssh-keygen program.
