Hey
all....we've assembled an ugly, but musically passable cast of
characters to host a "HUMP DAY BLUES JAM/OPEN MIC" at Shute's Bar in Calumet every
wedenesday from 7-10 (I should say MOST wednesdays because we may take a few off occasionally). We'll keep you updated via this list.
IT STARTS THIS WED - NOV 19. come out to play or listen and support live music in the keweenaw.
The host band is: Mark McEvers (keys/vocals/shiny new hip), Steve Taunton (master o the stratocaster), Johnny "Snyds" (guitar/vocals), Scott McIntosh (all things bottom), Greg Wright (drums/vocals). The whole purpose of this thing is NOT for us to entertain you all night (although we'll do our share), but for YOU to come out and do some playing. Full time listeners/ music appreciators VERY encouraged to attend as well. Although the "host band" will play mostly blues/R&B, all styles are more than welcome. This is an inclusive event. Please help spread the good word and pass this on to those musicians who aren't on the local music list.
We'll back those musicians that want a band behind them, or you can come up as a full band, or go solo. Bring your instrument or wax up those vocal chords. Any horn players out there???
