Hey everyone,

This is what I came up with for the email template/facebook event language. Let me know if there are any things you'd like to change or add. Otherwise we'll throw it up on the facebook event page and start emailing our friends!

Morgan

The Wigg Party invites you out to the Panhandle between Lyon and Central on May 9th from 1-4 pm to enjoy Local Food with friends and neighbors.

We're going to be dishing up a sampling of the Northern Californian spring bounty, and we'd like you to bring your own dish culled from the surrounding land or even your own backyard to add to the mix.

As if the food and the company weren't enough, you'll have a chance to learn how to make a solar oven (which we'll raffle off at the end) and Chef Raja is going to demonstrate how to make his world famous salad dressing.

Please bring a blanket, your own eating and drinking technology, and a local food dish to share with others (complete with information about where the food is from!). The Wigg Party will provide some food to share for everyone as well as a grill, a solar oven and a dishwashing station. You'd also be wise to remember your instruments, frisbees, Bocce balls, sunglasses, beautiful smiles and DON'T FORGET YOUR WIGS!

Hey there,

I'm looking forward to having you all over for dinner on Wednesday.  The address is 3559 17th Street (between Dolores and Guerrero).  Our door bell is labeled Sanphillippo / Ohi.  Call our land line if you have any questions.  (415) 437-2627.  Bikes can be stored in our garage.

We may have a really full house because there will be a couple of documentary film makers from Transition U.S. crashing with us for a few days.

After hearing everyone's awesome feedback (seriously thanks guys), here's what I came up with. Just a couple changes but I think we touched all the bases. Please send this out to your friends, whether through facebook or email. Also, remember that the most important thing for this event is to get personal commitments from people. Ask your friends if they are coming and what they are bringing. Don't guilt trip them if they can't make it but let's start getting some "I wouldn't miss it for the world"s from people.

As if the food and the company weren't enough, enjoy home-grown live music while you learn how to make a solar oven (which we'll raffle off at the end) and Chef Raja demonstrates how to make his world famous salad dressing.

Please bring a blanket, your own eating and drinking technology (dishes), and a local food dish to share with others (complete with information about where the food is from!). If you are feeling trepidation about preparing a dish to share, we'll be putting together an excursion to the Divisadero Farmers' Market at 11 am. It'll be a good chance to get your feet wet in a safe space.
