Greetings Local Lefties!

A huge thanks to the many of you who have stepped-in and offered to bake & help with the Obama bakesale today!  Stop by & hang out with us a bit if you're in the neighborhood today!  We're in front of the old Real Foods on 24th Street between Noe & Sanchez.  We'll be the table full of delectable cookies mobbed by Obama supporters :).

Now on to tomorrow's event!  We still need folks to phonebank and do data entry with us tomorrow!  The Local Lefties has committed to making 750 calls & entering them into the database on Sunday.  We need your help!

I know the thought of calling people in Nevada might sound difficult but it's easy and actually a lot of fun!  There are scripts for the call so no need to be fully versed in Obama's policies.  We're only helping Nevada identify it's undecided voters, NOT trying to convince people over the phone to vote for Obama.  Just bring your cell phone (and a laptop if you want to help with data entry) and we'll provide everything else.  We'll have lots of yummy snacks on hand to keep you going! 

You get a lot of support from the Obama fans you call, and the undecided voters are generally very thankful that someone nice has offered to send them more information.  Even the McCain supporters are usually very respectful & nice & we're not trying to reach them anyways so you don't have to talk to them for long!

Even if you can only come by for an hour, it would greatly help!  Phonebanking is one of the most important ways we have of identifying voters so that the canvassing teams on the ground can reach them! 

Nevada was decided by just a few thousand votes last time!  Our calls make a huge difference!  Come help us tomorrow!!
