Bake Sale for All Stars!

It’s been a while since we had one of our fabulous bake sales, what
better time to have one in 2009 than in the Spring with the sun out
and people cruising 24th Street!
This time around we’re raising money for a dynamic non-profit called
All Stars. I recently started volunteering with them and they're
amazing! Here’s a link to their website if you’d like to learn more

Friends Awards Committee to help them raise money for their Awards
Ceremony which is coming up on June 3rd. The Phat Friends Awards
Ceremony is an opportunity for the Bay Area inner city youth to voice
to the Community who has made a difference in their lives by
recognizing the nominee at the Awards Ceremony. This organization
does a lot of great work, one of the most appealing things about it is
the massive outreach to low-income kids and the incredibly strong
support system and sense of community that’s created. The kids are
ridiculously talented and it’s so awesome to see them get encouraged
to pursue their dreams in an uber positive and safe space. The Awards
Ceremony is a chance for the kids to give appreciation to those in
their lives who are making a valuable difference.
If you would like to help out and join us in raising money for All
Stars, this is what we could use a hand with:
1) Roll up your sleeves, get out those hot pads and bake up o'storm!
2) Come visit us & throw your money at us at the Bake Sale (we never
say no to mulah!)
3) Volunteer at the bake sale. We're sure your beautiful faces will
stop traffic and bring in more support
4) Get those creative juices flowing and help with poster boards and
visuals
5) Any and/or all of the above = )

WHEN: Saturday, May 9th, 2009
TIME: 11am to 2pm
WHERE: On 24th Street between Sanchez Street and Noe Street , across
from Bell Market. We park ourselves right in front of the old Real
Foods
