Hi there Local Lefties!

 

We still need help for both our events this weekend.  If you haven't signed up to help out, please consider giving a few hours for the Obama campaign this weekend!  Bake cookies!  Run the Sale! Make important-&-easier-than-you-think calls to swing states! 

 

Republicans are ramping up their efforts as we speak.  There are still many undecided voters who will be making their choices in the next couple of weeks and we want to give the campaign as many resources and as much information (through our phonebanking data) as possible to help them cement these votes for Obama!

 

I've attached my last email below with details.  Please RSVP if you can help out.  If you plan to do phonebanking you must sign up with an account today or tomorrow morning at the latest!

Hello all you fabulously motivated & inspiring Local Lefties!

The polls are looking good but, as the last presidential election taught us, we cannot be complacent!  We've planned 2 events for you this weekend to help out the Obama campaign!  Please consider giving a few hours to help out.  Every hour you give helps!

First, I want to say a HUGE congratulations & thank-you to the folks who pitched in for our last 2 events.  We raised $1400 at the bakesale and made 750 calls to Nevada at our phonebanking!  Seriously amazing! 

Also, before I get to this weekend, let me plug a fantastic upcoming way to support Obama and rawk out at the same time!  The fantastic women organizing this have strong ties to the music industry which means you are in for a treat - a great line-up and some exciting special guests!  Invite all your pals!

So onto this weekend!  Here's how you can help out...

Bakesale for Obama!
This Saturday, 10/4 from noon-3pm
24th Street between Noe & Sanchez - In front of the old Real Foods, across from Bell Market

We need people to bake & to help run the sale.  It's always a blast meeting our neighbors, registering voters, & making big piles o' much-needed cash for Obama!  Every cookie helps so even if you can only bake one batch- we'd appreciate it!  Get your pals to bake!  Hold a baking party! 

Phonebanking to Colorado
This Sunday, 10/5 from 3pm-7pm
The Ranch - 969 Dolores St. between 22nd & 23rd St.

Phonebanking is much easier than you think.  We're just calling registered voters to identify who the undecideds are so that the teams in those states can follow-up with those folks.  We don't need data entry folks this time as we'll each be doing our own data entry.  Please bring your laptop to the phonebanking (if you don't have one, let me know and I'll make sure there's one for you).  I'll provide lots of yummy treats to keep you going through the afternoon!
