This Saturday from 10 am - 2 pm Independent Voice is doing voter outreach! (more about us at http://www.independentvoice.org )
We'll be doing a very short poll with independent voters at the Berkeley Farmer's Market. The poll is a fun way to have a political conversation even if you feel you don't "know" that much about politics.
The polls are designed to find people who want to be active in changing politics in America.
In particular, we'll be talking to people about the new open primary measure coming up this June here in California. The open primary measure has the potential to really impact the power that ordinary people like us can wield in the political process. It's a big step towards "changing" politics in California.
We'll be doing the polling as a team, and we'll do some fun warmup games and have prizes!
I'd love to see you all there (feel free to bring a friend!).
The event is just 2 blocks away from the Downtown Berkeley BART Station.
Come join us and do some shopping afterwards (I know I will!).
