Champaign County Local Food Policy Council--draft proposal

Attached is a draft proposal that I have written and plan to bring to the CB during the February policy COW meeting on 14 Feb. The proposal is to establish a Local Food Policy Council at the county level. This is a topic that has been discussed with many locally. So I would appreciate your input/comments plus sharing with the CGFC Board sometime during the next 3 weeks so I might integrate them into a final draft for the CB. I appreciate your support and input as I know most of your have ideas about local foods and I want to be certain that I am capturing these into a macro designed council that will be able to move forward with ideas.

In addition, please feel free to share this others within the community and regionally who are working so very hard on the issue of local foods and economic development. Or if you prefer not to forward the message, just send me the name and contact information and I will send the information to whomever.
